First off we want to give a huge thank you to everyone reading this. We’ve been building Morning NFTea for over a year now and our 100th edition marks a special milestone.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our specially curated stories because we won’t be slowing down anytime soon and look forward to having you with us as we all witness Web3 inch closer and closer to mainstream adoption.

Looking back on our 100 newsletters it also wouldn’t be possible without our amazing team, and so without further ado let’s introduce the team behind Morning NFTea and take a look at our top picks!!

Hey team, I’m Buckygang the writer of Steaming Headlines for the last 100 editions which has been great and we really appreciate the support. Over the past year, I’m sure you're all too familiar with my long-term outlook as Web3 and NFTs grow closer to mainstream adoption. In such a fast-paced growing industry it's easy to get swept up in the short-term volatility, but as a Software Engineer by day, I do love cold hard facts which is why the #67 | 2022 Dapper Report has been my favorite edition.

Our breakdown on the 2022 Dapper Report showed the insane uptake of Web3 in the real world, NFTs hit a new high of 101 million transactions in 2022, a massive 67.57% increase from the 58 million transactions in 2021. It’s worth emphasizing that this rapid growth occurred during 2022 which was one of the biggest crypto and market slumps we have seen in a long time, exemplifying the strength and momentum that a real-world beneficial technology has independent of just speculative investing.

Although there were progressive stories from China protecting NFTs as Virtual Property and Europe Court protecting NFTs as Intellectual Property, to Nike opening Virtual NFT Apparel Stores and Ticketmaster’s new NFT Department, it’s good to zoom out long-term and see the space’s undeniable adoption during its “toughest“ year.

With stats like the unique trader counts increasing by 876.89%, this edition gives a pretty positive outlook on Web2’s transition to Web3 aided by NFTs, and it’s pretty great to be here witnessing it while sharing the newsletters with you, take care!

Hi! I’m subvert — probably best known for my input in the ‘What’s the NFTea?’ section of this newsletter.

My most memorable story over the 50+ issues I’ve been on the team is this issue highlighting Shopify’s integration of NFT support; not only because Shopify is a key part of eCommerce and has the potential to onboard a large proportion of internet users to Web3, but also because we covered the meteoric rise of Jack Butcher’s Checks project in this January issue, a few weeks before euphoria hit and it swept the NFT world by storm.

Give it a read to take a trip down memory lane — it’s always interesting to take a look back at how history works out, isn’t it?

Hey there! I’m Wicky - the final editor of this newsletter. Regardless of the negative headlines or bearish markets, I think this newsletter has done a great job of highlighting some innovative use cases that will further accelerate NFT mainstream adoption. Picking my favorite use case wasn’t all that easy, although seeing a house sold as an NFT was certainly exciting.

Anyone that has bought a house knows how expensive and time consuming the process is, and I believe NFTs are laying the groundwork for a future where this will become much easier. Use cases like this help me appreciate the fundamental technology, which I believe is far more important than most other things that NFTs are commonly known for.

Time will tell to see how innovative this technology really becomes, although it’s clear to me that the foundations are being laid for a very bright future. Producing niche content for all of you has been an exciting journey and we can’t wait to see how much larger this family is when edition #200 rolls around.

Meanwhile, in the midst of a prolonged bear market, Pudgy Penguins has become the project to step up and seize the spotlight with their toy launch.

Impressively, they managed to nab the top spot of Amazon’s top sellers leaderboard.

This has led to many congratulatory tweets for the brand across Web3.

This coincides with an appearance by LucaNetz at VeeCon, where he explains the role of Pudgy Toys in the ecosystem & the NFT landscape as a whole.

Other people compared it to Doodles2 in terms of an effort to draw outsiders to Web3.

Whether it will succeed in the long run, only time will tell; but for now we give Pudgy Penguins their flowers and wish them all the best.
